I am a parent

You have come to this page because you selected that you were a parent and your son or daughter would like to dinghy sail with us.

We need to know about you and you need some information about us.

They will need to be able to swim 50 metres

They can come as a guest three times before they have to join or be a member of the the club as a cadet. Membership fort cadets costs £35 per year. Saturday sailing costs £3 and that includes lunch.

We meet in the club yard which is in tower street.

Time table

Arrival time / registration 9.00am -9.30am
List closes 9.30pm
Changing 9.45 am - 10am
Launching by 10.00am
Return to shore 12.00am
Lunch 1:30pm
Departure 2:00pm

Some boats come in early if needed.

You should be close by on-shore while they are sailing

Cadets are expected to help haul the boats up to the yard, wash them down and put them away.

Cadets must shower afterwards either at the club or at home.

If they have not sailed before they will need to attend a session ashore first

We supply the boats but you can bring your own.

You will need some equipment we may have some you can borrow - ask first! To find out what you need look at the clothing section on the main page.

We do not train to pass RYA dinghy exams but we use the same best practices and some of those sailing are RYA Instructors and Assistant instructors as well as some really experienced sailors who have not taken exams.

The idea is to have fun and be safe.

We put safety boats in the  water for the entire time..

We need to know your name, address, phone number, date of birth, experience and email address.

Please contactGlyn for sailing info on 01206 251551 or send an email to glyn@cmx.co.uk
