This is a brief description of the service ...

What do we do?

We organise sailing on Saturday mornings on the Colne River at Brightlingsea for 9-18 year olds. and on Wednesday evenings for over 18's.

Who can come along?

Anyone although we mainly cater for Colne Yacht club members you can come as a guest a few times to see if you like it..

What do I need?

You will need to organise a buoyancy aid and some suitable clothing. Apart from that a towel and a change of clothes. Ring us before to check as we will put you on a dry boat for your first trip..

Do I need a boat?

No, the cub has  a wide range of craft and members also use their own boats. If you have your own you are welcome to join in.

 

What about safety cover?

We have two high speed ribs and these are always in the water first and last. You cannot miss them as they are bright orange, that's why we call them Tango's There is a crew of two with radio's and mobile phones. Each Tango has first aid kits, water and survival bags.

 

How much does it cost?

If you are a member - it costs the grand sum of £3 this covers sailing and lunch.

If you are not a member then join at £35 per year (2009 under 18's)

What age do I have to be

Cadets     - from 9-18

Mutineers - from 18 - 21

Adults      - 21 - Older
